Blokpoint was created as a dedicated digital marketing business to service blockchain / crypto / web3 industries. Seeing a gap in the market for the spot between the real techies vs the web3 explorers, Blokpoint stepped in to meet that need. 

We needed a brand that was modern and clearly tech influenced, but approachable. Striking the balance between the two was the challenge, and would make it stand out in the ever growing marketplace.

They want to be found, and they want to tell the world why their product is a new and improved way of doing things.

Being able to get involved in the early stages meant we could really understand the process, and from the first creative explorations, we knew DeType were onto something great.

THE CHALLENGE:

Hitting the spot

We were clear that they wanted an unfussy core logo, that was anchored in the industry, but to build a creative platform alongside it to deliver the ongoing marketing once launched.

A quick emotional connection to the brand, with a strong identity was key.

OUR PROCESS:

The first reference work we did helped set the path for the overall creative platform. Keeping the Blokpoint team involved from those early stages ensured we all agreed on direction, and meant we could spend more time on the wider delivery.

All too often we see big pitches miss the mark on fundamental points which could easily have been avoided in scene setting work.

We know we can be fussy, but with a company you’re so invested in it’s so important to get it right! The DeType team were patient, supportive, and clearly dedicated to getting the right results for us.

THE SOLUTION

With a subtle reference to cryptocurrency, and ‘streams’ leading into the B icon – the simplistic approach drives a clear message to the service offering.

Coupled with a distinct illustration style, the creative platform is established to develop more collateral as the brand scales. 

The three of us in the team liked all three of the creative routes presented – it was really tough to choose just one – they all had powerful expression and we could have run with either!
