Search engine optimisation is the art of improving the rankings of a website in search engine (google, bing, yahoo etc.) query results. In search results, search engines display what they consider to be the most relevant pages closest to the top of the page, by editing the content on your site you can boost your positioning in the results. The links closest to the top of the page are most likely to be clicked on by the viewer, therefore the better your ranking, the more traffic will come to your site which will lead to an uptake in revenue.
