DeType Ltd – Christmas Giveaway Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to the “Christmas Giveaway” Competition from DeType Limited. Entry/claim instructions are deemed to form part of the terms and conditions and by participating, all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these terms and conditions.

  1. The Promoter:

DeType Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under number 07971171, whose registered office address is 8 Ise Road, Kettering, Northants, NN15 7DX.

  1. Eligibility:
    • This prize promotion is open to UK (England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland) and Republic of Ireland residents but parental consent is required for under 16s and excludes employees of DeType (The Promoter/we/us/our) and their immediate family members, suppliers or anyone professionally connected to the promotion.
    • You must not have already enquired and been issued a website proposal from us within the last 12 months.
    • You must be available to attend our Discovery Call in January 2026.
  1. Promotional Period:

The prize draw opens at 1st December 2025 and ends on 12th December 2025 for the receipt of all entries by the Promoter.

  1. Entry Instructions:
    • You will need to enter the Competition via a website landing page, providing the following details:
      • Name;
      • Email
    • Entry to this prize draw is not available by any other means.
    • It is the responsibility of participants to ensure that they provide the correct contact details on the competition entry form.
  1. Winner Selection and Notification:
    • Winners will be selected at random in a draw on the 6th January 2026.
    • All winners will be notified within a reasonable amount of time of the closing date. 
    • The Promoter reserves the right to re-award the prize in accordance with the promotional rules set out below.
    • The Promoter’s decision is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the selection of winners.
    • Winners will be notified via email.
  1. Prize:
    • Prize: A website up to the value of £4,000, (or if the website proposal is larger than £4,000, then a £4,000 deduction from the price quoted). The website will be subject to our ongoing hosting and maintenance package (currently £75 per month) and our standard terms and conditions will apply;
    • The prize is transferrable only where agreed to by DeType.
    • The prize is not redeemable for cash or other prizes.
  1. Disqualification:
    • If it becomes apparent that a participant(s) is using any means to circumvent the entry rules or any instructions forming part of this promotion, including, but not limited to, fraudulently falsifying data, acting fraudulently or dishonestly in the opinion of the Promoter, using identities other than their own or otherwise acting in violation of these terms and conditions, such participant(s) will be disqualified, and any prize entitlement will be void.
    • In enforcing the above clause 7.1, the Promoter reserves the right to verify all entries including, but not limited to, asking for address and identity details, which must be provided within 14 days of the request being issued.
    • The Promoter will be the final arbiter in any decisions, and these will be binding, and no correspondence will be entered into in relation to this clause 7.
  1. Participant’s Responsibilities:
    • It is the responsibility of the participant to ensure that they respond to the winner notification, either by responding to instructions in the email notifying the participant of their prize or by contacting us.
    • If the winner does not respond by 6th February 2026, then the prize will be forfeited, and we reserve the right to select another winner at random.
    • It is the responsibility of the winner to end any and all hosting or maintenance plans with their current developer where applicable, for the avoidance of doubt the prize will not cover any of the costs relating such transfer.
    • If the winner rejects their prize or if their entry is invalid, the prize will be forfeited, and we will select another winner at random.
    • The Promoter cannot be held responsible for winners failing to supply accurate information which affects prize acceptance or the delivery of their prize.
  1. General:
    • The entry instructions form part of these terms and conditions. By entering, you agree to accept and be bound by these terms and conditions.
    • You agree that if you are a winner, unless you tell us otherwise, you will take part in and co-operate fully with reasonable publicity without any fee being payable.
  1. Data Protection:

Your data may be passed onto a third party for the purposes of administering the prize. Your details will not be passed onto any third party for any other purpose without your prior consent. This data will be kept secure and in accordance with the requirements of the UK GDPR and Data Protection Regulation 2018.

  1. Law and Jurisdiction:

The application and interpretation of these terms and conditions will be governed by the law of England and the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any dispute concerning them.
